Question

I need help with part d) and e)

Look at the picture.

The car rolls without friction.

a) What is the acceleration of the system if m= 1.50 kg?

b) What will the pulling force be in the rope between the boxes?

c) What is the mass m if the acceleration of the system is 1.75 m/s^2

d) What is the mass m if the if the pulling force of the rope is 15.0 N

e) If you think that the mass m is very high. Then what is the most possible pulling force in the rope ?

I got 2,26 m/s^2 from part a), 11.31 N from b) and 1.09 kg from c).

Can someone hel me with part d) and e) ? :)

In d) should I use the acceleration from part a) the find the pulling force ?

Explanation / Answer

d) mass = 1.5 kg

e) pulling force = mg.

where m is mass of block,g is acceleration due to gravity
