I appreciate any help here, please print as its hard for me to read hand writting. Thank you
Study the ladder logic ladder program in, and answer the questions that follow:
a. What type of counter has been programmed?
b. What input address will cause the counter to increment?
c. What input address will cause the counter to decrement?
d. What input address will reset the counter to a count of zero?
e. When would output O:6/2 be energized?
f. Suppose the counter is first reset, and then input I:2/6 is actuated 15 times and input I:3/8 is actuated 5 times. What is the accumulated count value?
Ladder logic program CTU COUNT-UP COUNTER Counter Preset Accumulated I:2/6 C5:2 25 0 CU DN CTU COUNT-DOWN COUNTER Counter Preset Accumulated I:3/8 CU C5:2 25 0 DN C5:2 O:6/2 DN I:4/1 C5:2 RESExplanation / Answer
a) In this ladder structure both Up counter and Down counter is programmed.
b) input I:2/6 is to be energize to increment value of counter as input I:2/6 is connected to Up counter.
c) input I:3/8 is connected to down counter, therefore to decrease counter value, input I:3/8 need to be energize.
d) To reset both counter inputI:4/1, when this input is switched on, it will reset whole circuit at initial condition.
e) To energize output counter's preset value and accumulated value must be same, if we consider up counter then value must be increment to match preset value of 25, and if down counter is considered then accumulated value must be decreases to match preset value.
f) After initial condition i.e. reset, when I:2/6 is actuated 15 times then count value will be 15, and when input I:3/8 is actuated 5 times then it will decreases by 5, so after this condition count value will be 10.
