1) The chipset used in the motherboard is a microprocessor. The Microprocessor has three units, Arithmetic Logic Unit, Control Unit. It is the brain of the computer.

3) Synchronous data transfer takes place among different perpherals using parallel processing. It use some type of Queing system, which makes the perpherals to get the processing power at each interval.
