Solution:(a)
a comparator compares output voltages from photo diodes to the reference voltage. When light falls on the photo
diode of one side it gives output voltage which is compared with reference voltage. if voltage if greater than
reference voltage . The comparator produces output (1) and hence that side motor rotates and wheel moves .
when there is no light output of comparator is zero.
(b)
the circuit can be implemented without comparator by using microcontroller and analog light sensor.
