You want to plan an interactive activity to assist your participants in learning how to implement low cost, effective management strategies. a. Pancreas is an organ of about 6-10 inch located behind the stomach with 3 regions mainly- head as the largest part, tail as the narrowest part, and the body.It has both exocrine and endocrine function and a linkage exists between the two.The exocrine function is concerned with the secretion of digestive enzymes which hepls in the digestion of meals. The endocrine function is to produce hormones such as insulin and glucagon to control the metabolism of glucose.

c.The strategies would revolve around making the people understand importance of exercise,medical nutrition therapy,monitoring of glucose,and controlling weight. The one strategy that would have paramount importance is medical nutrition,i.e proper diet.A proper diet would have a positive impact on weight,glucose,and cholestrol.It would include proper carbohydrate planning with adequate intake of vitamis, minerals, proteins,and other micro and macro nutrients.

Type 1 Type 2 Also known as insulin dependent diabetes and is less frequent associated with juveniles. Also known as non insulin dependent diabetes which can develop at any age and is more frequent. The cells that produce insulin is destroyed. The body is unable to utilize insulin.
