As per the growth of both the strains is considered, the mixture of AX and Ay styrains will grow on bio - leu - trp-.

This is because first strain is wild for bio and trp. it means strain AX can grow in the media that lacks bio and tro but cannot grow in the media lacking leu as it is not wild for leu.

While tghe other strain can grow in the media lacking leu, because this strain is not wild for leu. But cannot grow in the media lacking trp and bio.

Therefore if the genetic transfer has occured successfully, then strain AX will be able to grow in the media lacking a particular nutrient. If gene transfer take place, the wild type gene for a nutrient will be transferred to the strains' DNA.
