In human body the heart does the work of pumping the blood and lungs does the work of oxygenating the blood. Hence the deoxygenated blood (RBC) from the foot will go to the heart. The heart will pump it to lungs for oxygenation. The oxygenated blood from lungs enter the heart and is then pumped throughout the body (foot).
1. A red blood cell in your foot will pass through your heart 2 times before it returns to the foot.
Fishes have two chambered heart. Here the deoxygenated blood (from the tail) is received by heart and then pumped to gills where it is oxygenated. This oxgenated blood from gills is directly passed through the organs (tail).
2. A red blood cell in fish's tail will pass through its heart 1 time before it returns to the tail.
