1. Privatization of water is where there is private sector participated in the water services provision as well as sanitation. This is a controversial topic. This privatisation has led to an increase in the investments and a better quality of service though, the criticisms against privatisation is that the public good has been transformed into a private commodity and violates the international human right to water. In order to prevent privatisation of water, it is required that the normal citizen should start protecting the lakes, preventing drying out of the lakes as well as conserve water on a social basis so that it would be available for all.
2. No, I do not drink bottled water consistently. Reducing use of bottled water could be done by using an in home water filter, or recycling the bottles after use or discontinuing the purchase of the plastic bottles. Also, plastic bottles could be banned to be used in the work place or the community.
