Explanation / Answer

Grip the straight wire B with your right hand ,your thumb pointing the direction of the current. Your fingers show the direction of magnetic field.

Now grip the coil C with your right hand so that the thumb points the anti-clockwise direction.

The fingers show that the field is coming from beneath the page in the coil C ,

i.e opposing the field due to the current in the wire.


we know The emf or the current induced will be such that the field opposes the change.

Thus the current in the coil C is in the anticlockwise direction.
