write 3-5 sentences reply to this post
You bring up arguments that surrogacy it is immoral because it favors the rich and exploit the poor. I cant think of one thing that does not follow this line. Poor people cannot afford expensive fruits and vegetables, thus not meeting their nutritional goals. This can lead to sickness and fatigue. Following your premise for the immorality of surrogacy the food industry is immoral as it exploits poor people and favors the rich. I know that this is in left field, that we are talking about people and the premise stands that treating them as a commodity is immoral. But the assignment of a commodity cannot be done on the grounds that money trades hands, ones must argue that a lack of love or desire is at stake, this makes it immoral. To strengthen your argument we need to state that business destroys the foundation that having a child is built on, a family. Do you think family’s are destroyed by the surrogacy business?

Of the two types of surrogacy, gestational surrogacy might have more legal problems because the child is likely to have five parents, i.e. donors of egg and sperm, surrogate mother and the parents who grow up the child. In such cases more legal complications arise if the couple wants to divorce.
If the women willingly wants to act as surrogates only as a solution to infertility of a particular couple, it can be allowed. But using surrogacy to avoid carrying the baby or having the children in a more comfortable way by paying money is definitely not correct, it can be considered as exploitation of one’s biological resources. If surrogacy is used in such way, it can be compared to slavery, and it destroys the family values and make the family structure more diverse.
