Question
A) Find the surface area and capacitance of the axon.
B) If the potential difference across the membrane is 0.09 V, how much electrical energy is stored in the axon?
I'm really stuck on this problem. I know that for determining surface area in general for a cylinder, it is A = pi (r)^2. I'm not sure what else to look at for this problem though, whether I need its potential energy to incorporate for surface area and capacitance or what. Any help with explanations provided would be appreciated.
