Question
hello
Some good estimates about the human body can be made if it is assumed that we are made mostly of water. The mass of a water molecule is 2.99 times lO-26 kg. If the mass of a person is 58 kg, estimate the number of water molecules in that person. Organize the given information Write down known quantities (with units) Write down the quantity to be found with units Determine the appropriate physical principles needed solve the problem. There isn't much physics here so don't answer this part. Plan and execute the mathematical operations required write out the steps needed to find the unknown. Perform the steps and find the answer. Explicitly show your answer. Interpret and evaluate the solution Does you answer make sense?Explanation / Answer
given :
mass of 1 molecule = 2.99 x 10^-26 kg
mass of persom = 58 kg
reuired to find = no. of molecules of water
principle = no . of molecules = mass / mass of 1 molecule
operation :-
no of molecules = 58 / 2.99 x 10^-26
no of molecules = 19.398 x 10^26
remarks
here we assume that the whole mass is due to water but actuallly that is not the case so the no. of molecules of water will be lesser as the body is not completely water.
