1. Ecology is the study of interactions between living organisms and their environment, and the pattern of distribution of plants and animals on the earth.

1.Parasitism: symbiotic Relationship in which organsism is benefittwd while as other organism is harmed is referred as parasitism. Benefited organism is called parasite and harmed organism is called host. Example ascaris in the small intestine of humans, louse in human hair.

2. Commensalism: relationship between two species in which one is benifitted and other is unaffected ie neither benefited nor harmed. Example pilot fish and shark, cattle egret and grazing cattle.

3. Mutualism: symbiotic relationship in which both organism are benefited is called as mutualism. Example, lichens, rhizobium and leguminous plants.

4. Mimicry: Act of copying one's activity is referred as mimicry.
