The first part has an oscillator while the second has mod 16 counter 7493 The oscillator is wired in self-triggered mode, and the potentiometer VR1 is used for speed control of the running lights. That is, frequency can be varied from 21 Hz to less than 1 Hz. The counter outputs A, B and C are decoded by IC3 (the decoder 7442) and the outputs obtained on pins 1 to 9 of this IC. The D output of the counter is used for selecting the LEDs from D1 to D8 or D9 to D16. Whenpfwp1 to D8 are selected, and when D is high D9 to D16 are selected For the selection of these LEDs, IC4 (7400) NAND gate is used. Thus, a sequential running effect is produced.

Discussion:- today fluorescent bulb and tubelight are becoming outdated and they are replaced by LED lights and LED lights consume less power and have long life in comparison to fluorescent bulb and tube light. LED lights have many advantages over fluorescent lamp mentioned in this project. Here we have describe a simple circuit which you can easily made and install in your home and do not save resources but your energy and money will also be saved. The simple circuit is based on oscillator, diodes, LED, ICs and others. All the component used in the circuit easily and readily available in the market so make this circuit and install in your home and office. Before understanding the working of circuit first have a look on the component used in the circuit.

The oscillator is wired in self triggered mode potentiometer VR1 of running lights that is frequency can be varied from 21 Hertz to less than 1 Hertz.

LED are different from other diodes as the Amit light and hence referred as light emitting diode. LED are available in red green and blue colour.

All material have same type of opposition to current flow this position is called resistance. The resistance of a material is determined by the number of free electron in the material there are various type of resistor are available such as carbon film, carbon composition and etc.

The capacitor is a device that store electrical energy and capacitance in the amount of electrical energy stored at a given voltage drop by capacitor. A device specially design to have a certain value of capacitance is called capacitor. The capacitor has ability to store electrons and release them at later stage.

Diode is an electronic device which allow current to flow only in one direction.

Diode or forward by joining n type and P type semiconductor. The n-type semiconductor contains electron that move through the p reason. Working of circuit is very simple assemble the circuit properly as shown in circuit diagram.

Conclusion:- the project of simple light is cost effective , practical eco friendly and the safest way to save energy. It clearly tackle the two problem that would is facing today. Saving of energy and also disposal of incandescent lamp very efficiently. According to statical data we can save more than 40% of electric energy that is now consumed by the highways. Initial cost and maintenance can we draw backs of this project. With the advance in technology and good resources planning the cost of project can be cut down and also with the use of good equipments the maintenance can also be reduced in terms of periodic check. The LED is have long life , emit cool light donor have any toxic material and can be used for fast switching. For this reason this project present for more advantages which can overcome the present limitations. Keeping in view the long term benefits and the initial cost would never be a problem as that investment return time is very less.
