PLEASE ANSWER A&B (C&D Posted as separate question)
7. (a) An internal customer has asked you to list the factors that you would take into account in selecting a rotary electrical actuator for a mechatronic application. Provide the list for them.
(b) A stepping motor in use for a mechatronic application is to have its acceleration time increased and its deceleration time decreased. How would these adjustments be implemented?
(c) It has been decided to improve the resolution of stepper motors used in your company's products. How can this be achieved most costeffectively?
(d) What are the specification names given to the following stepper motor characteristics?
(i) The maximum load torque that can be placed on the motor shaft without loss of steps.
(ii) The maximum torque that can be applied to a powered-up motor without shaft rotation.
(iii) The fastest stepping rate that can be applied to a motor accelerating from rest, without loss of steps.
(iv) The slowest step frequency to which the motor will accurately respond.
(v) The range of frequencies between (iii) and (iv) above.
(vi) The greatest load that the motor can cope with for a given stepping rate, and accelerate to its operating speed without loss of steps.
[To the 'Anonymous' person who answered this earlier today - Please do not answer any more of my questions - I have to pay for them and you do not deserved to be paid for what you did. The answer you provided was incomplete and the part answer you did provide was very weak and taught me nothing. It is clear you are in this just to get money for as little effort as possible. I am here to help my learning process. I need worked answers I can follow so that I can understand the subject and work out my own answers...]

a) Resolution, Accuracy and repeatability
angles of rotation need to be defined.
Velocity requirements for a robot with limbs might be limited for safety reasons. Angular velocity requirements are also a functional factor. Related to velocity is the need to define acceleration and deceleration characteristics.
Operational Power The power developed by the actuator will have to be sufficient for the application, i.e. to produce the required force or torque.
Compliance the movement of a component in reaction to a force exerted on it
B)Ans:- In a stepping motor we use PWM control technique to control the rotation of motor. So if we need to increase acceleration time and decrease deaccelaration, then we would take duty cycle of the motor into the account. As we readjust the duty cycle by reducing it . So teh accelaration slot gets less duty time which means it will take more time to accelearte while for deaccelaration we are providing more duty time so that the task of deaccelaration completes faster than the acceleration.
