Explanation / Answer
I divide my study into two parts- (i) leaning the concepts (ii) application of the concepts.
In first part, i try to understand the basic concepts told during lectures and then derive complex results obtained. I also read the notes and summary of that topic in the reference book suggested by professor. I also make short notes or highlight important points for the exams and quizzes. I advice this part to be done after a topic is covered in the lectures.I don't advice to memorize to the concepts or process because you will not be able to answer the questions related to that topic. Instead, you can revize the concepts after a regular interval using the short notes. You will be benifitted during exams by these short notes as this will save a lot of time for revision.
Second part is crucial as it is not enough to understand the question. You should be able to apply these concepts. I prefer to solve atleast 4-5 questions related to every important concept/derivation. For this purpose, I look for the solved examples given in the standard reference book. Also i try to solve the previous year's eexam paper and some unsolved question of book too. I solve these questiton in group and I ask the help of my friend in case i got stuck. I also try to solve problems of my friend which help me to realize my mistake and boost my confidence greatly.
I hope this help. Good Luck.
