An electrocardiogram is defined by the recording of potential difference between two ECG electrodes between an electrode or network node or between two network nodes

Different pairs of electrodes are used at specific locations on the body to get the lead view of that particular area.

Conventionally electrodes are placed on each arm and leg and 6 electrodes are present at defined locations on the chest They together present the cardic activity.

The specific sites used for placing electrodes have cardiac activity associated with them which can be monitored.

And the lead view is the activity shown by the help of different wires used in ECG.
