Please help me answer this questions.

Computer Dynamics is a software development company that has a 300-computer network. The company is located in three adjacent five-story buildings in an office park with about 100 computers in each building. The LANs in each building are similar, but one building has the data center on the second floor. There are no other office locations. The current network is poorly designed for its current needs and must be completely replaced. Develop a logical network design for this enterprise campus that considers the seven network architecture components.   You will need to make assumptions, so be sure to document them and explain why you have designed the network in this way.

Explanation / Answer

For Computer Dynamics I would recommend a LAN to use a physical star topology with multi-mode fiber optic cable connecting all three buildings with a central point being one of the buildings. A data link with a fiber uplink port would connect individual building LANs. A main data switch would be installed in the central or main building and the buildings would be connected to it using fiber. To connect to Internet, other server or printers located anywhere within three buildings the gateway router would be connected to the main data switch. And the router would be connected to a CSU/DSU into a full T1 circuit. As mentioned in my You Decide paper a wireless network will make the company future proof and will enable adding wireless devices to the network. To add wireless network only equipment needed to install 802.11n access points on every other floor of each building
