On the S-N curve there are two inflexion point. The lower inflexion where from Emin it start moving up exponentially and then become straight line. The second inflexion which is the upper inflexion where again S_N curve move way from straight line and start towards reaching the saturation which the E max. So, when we draw a slope line in the middle zone, the upper deviation point is also called point of inflexion and corresponding T is T0. k is the range of temperature from Emin to Emax. T is the working temperature and one can calculate E for the specific working temperature which is in this case is the temperature at Antarctica which will vary from -89.6C in winter to -49C in summer.
