That is 72 mJ

Part B)

.072 = .5kx2 + .5mv2

.072 = (.5)(40)(.011)2 + (.5)(.060)(v2)

v = 1.523 m/s

Part C)

.072= .5kx2 + KE

.072 = (.5)(40)(.035)2 + KE

KE = .0475 J

That is 47.5 mJ

Part D)

72 - 47.5 = 24.5 mj
