5:18 PM webassign.net My Notes Ask Yo 140 polnts SerCP8 18 P0O8 and V- 10.00 Consider the circuit shown in the figure below. Use the following as necessary: R1 6.00 0, R2 1.30 0, (a) Calculate the equivalent resistance of the R1 and 5.00 ? resistors connected in parallel. (b) Using the result of part (a), calculate the combined resistance of the R1, 5.00 ?, and 4.00 ? resistors. (c) Calculate the equivalent resistance of the combined resistance found in part (b) and the paraliel 3.00 2 resistor (d) Combine the equivalent resistance found in part (c) with the R2 resistor. (e) Calculate the total current in the circuit. (t) What is the voitage drop across the R2 resistor? (g) Subtracting the result of part (f) from the battery voltage, find the voltage across the 3.00 ? resistor. (h) Calculate the current in the 3.00 2 resistor Need Help? ?liiuli 110 points SercPs 18.P013 Find the current in the 12 ? resistor in the figure below. (R1 2.2 ?, R2 7.0 ?, ??-15 v )

Explanation / Answer

According to the given problem,

a) Both the resistor are prallel to each other ,

R15= (R1*5)/(R1 + 5)

= 30/11 = 2.73 ohm.

b) From above result, R15 and R4 are in series,

R154 = R15 + R4 = 2.73+ 4 = 6.73 ohm

c) From a,b result R154 and R3 are in prallel to each other,

R1543 = (R154*R3)/(R154 + R3) = (6.73*3)/(6.73+3) = 2.075 ohm

d) From a,b,c results R1543 and R2 are in series,

Req = R1543 +R2 = 2.075 + 1.30 = 3.375 ohm

Sorry, But acoording to chegg guidelins only 4 subparts per question, please repost the other questions separetely.
