Experimentally, the magnetic flux ?B in a solenoid was measured for various currents I. The data was recorded in the table below, and plotted in the graph on the right. The best fit line through the data is also drawn.
Experimentally, the magnetic flux in a solenoid was measured for various currents I The data was recorded in the table below, and plotted in the graph on the right. The best fit line through the data is also drawn ?? Current 1.50 3.50 5.00 Magnetic Flux Wb] 0.500 1.00 1.63 What is the inductance of the solenoid? Number HIExplanation / Answer
As we know flux (phi) = L x I;
so Inductance L = (Phi) / I;
therefore this Inductance is the slope of the Phi Vs I graph.
Now slope of the best fit line (m) = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
since, the best fit line exactly passes through the points (0, 0) and (1.5, 0.5) therefore we have to consider these two points for finding the slope.
m = 0.5/1.5 = 0.33
L = 0.33 H.
