Question
The inductance of a closely packed coil of 300 turns is 6.00×10-3 H. Calculate the magnetic flux through the coil when the current is 4.00×10-3 A.
(I know that this question is already posted on Chegg, but I followed the solution to the other questions, and my homework system is telling me that my answer is wrong. For my solution that I have worked out, I got 8*10^-8 Wb. It keeps telling me that this answer is incorrect, and giving me the message "L=N flux/i where N*flux is the flux linkage." Any help in figuring this out would be much appreciated!)
Explanation / Answer
N*phi = flux linkage
N*phi = L*i
phi = L*i/N
L = 6 x 10^-3 H
i = 4 x 10^-3 A
N = 300
phi = 8 x 10^-8 Wb
