Scientific method applied to conduct health science research:
Research question: How to conduct scientific research in health sciences.
According to the UNESCO the research is systematic and creative actions taken to increase knowledge about humans, culture, and society to apply it in interest of everyone. A Scientific research is performed with systematic and constructed scientific methods to obtain, analyze, and interpret meaningful data. It is neutral, systematic, planned, and multiple-step process by which the known facts are implemented to get advance knowledge that does not exist in the literature. It could be observational or experimental depending upon data collection techniques, descriptive or analytical.
Every scientific research begins at a research question followed by some hypothesis to answer this question.
Hypothesis: A Hypothesis should be apparent, exact, and in a straight line aspiring to answer that research question. A strong and testable hypothesis is the strongest pillar of conducting any research. The research done over this hypothesis, answers whether to accept or reject the hypothesis.
Scientific method: It should be neutral, objective, and rational. The result obtained with this should either approve or disapprove the hypothesis. The research methodologies should be correctly analyzable and with proper statistical plans. This should be analyzed further. Statistical results should be calculated, and data should be obtained in appropriate numbers and methods.
Data analysis: The analysis of the data should be done significantly in order to get the sensible results. However it is not always true to get the significant result everytime. So, reevaluations of data, review of the literature, and interpretation of results should be repeatedly done along with the references. Completion of these stages can make a research to be written and presented to the scientific society. A good and clearly presented research should always be open to accept and correct the society criticism. But the most important part is to follow every rule and regulation related to ethical research conduct and its presentation to the research society.
Every result should be interpreted as it is actually done without any illegal fabrication. It should be properly concluded in such a way that everyone is able to get the gist of the results and research you have done along with its purpose.
