Question

C=k0A/d    for paper k=3.7 0=8.85e-12 d=1.95mm

I have attempted this problem several times and keep getting it wrong, I think I am messing up units or something. I found the capacitance I just can't figure out the area?

A parallel plate capicator has plates that are 1.95 mm apart. The space between the plates is filled with a paper dielectric and has an electric field of 9.51 104 V/m when the charge on each plate is 0.555 µC. What is the capacitance of this capacitor?
C=2.99e-9 F
What is the area of each plate?
? m2

Explanation / Answer

C = k0A/d

2.99E-9 F = (3.7 * 8.85E-12 * A)/(1.95E-3)

A = 0.178 m2
