Question

The members of a school club are ordering t-shirts. there is a one-time charge of $150 for artwork on the t-shirt and a $10 charge for each t-shirt ordered. If x represents the number of t-shirts ordered, which of the following represents the total cost, in dollars, per t-shirt?

How many positive integers less than 1,000 do not have 7 as any digit? (how do u do this in less then 60secs, without counting?)

Points a, b, and x do not all lie on the same line. Point x is 5 units from a and 3 units from b. how many other points in the same plane as a, b, and x are also 5 units from a and 3 units from b? Explanation / Answer

a. Cost = x(150+10) = 160x

b.

All numbers from 700 - 799 include a 7, so

1000 - 100 = 900

Out of what's left, there will be _70 - _79 for each set of 100
900 - [(900/100) * 10] = 810

Out of the 810 left, there will be a number --7 for each set of 10
810 - (810/10) = 729

c.
 5 = (x-a)^0.5

 3 = (x-b)^0.5
