plasma membrane is a phospholipid bilayer into which proteproteins, glycoproteins and glycolipids are ingrainingrained. It is likewise called cell membrane or plasmalemma. This membrane seperate the fluid outside the cell I.e., extacellular fluid from the fluid inside the cell I.e., iintaintracellular fluid.

The molecules enter or exit the cell through the process called diffusion. Diffusion takes place down a concentration gradient. The efficiency of diffusion is increased by increasing the concentration gradient thus increasing the permeability and increasing the surface area.

In the comparison of epinephrine, pseudoephedrine and methaphetamine epinephrine will be the fastest to enter the first into cell membrane, pseudoephedrine will be faster and methaphetamine will be last one.

So answer is 1. 1,2,3.

This is so because epinephrine has the Lowest biological half life i.e., 2 minutes and has fastest duration of action within minutes. Whereas pseudoephedrine has biological half life of 4.3 to 8 hours and has slow metabolism. Methaphetamine has biological half life of 5 - 30 hours and has duration of action of 10 to 20 hours.

Methyl group - A methyl group contains one carbon atom bonded with three atoms of hydrogen covalently and it belongs to an organic family called alkyl group. It is commonly found to bind with larger organic compounds.

Well a methyl group has a unique property. A methyl group as alone is non polar i.e., it is a type of covalent bond that describes the way two or more atoms share electrons together. When this methyl group binds with the organic compounds it shows the hydrophobic nature i.e., disliking nature towards water.

So, the solution is option b. Hydrophobic.
