DIGITAL VOLTMETER

Design an input interfacing circuit to interact with the computer parallel port. You are required to design an 8-bit input interfacing circuitry from an ADC as shown below

POWER SUPPLY --> POTENTIAMETER --> ADC(8 bit) --> PARALLEL PORT --> 7-segment display EMULATION KIT in COMPUTER.

If additional chip is required, justify your reasoning. Provide a complete circuit diagram from computer parallel port to the designed I/O circuitry. Label all components and its respective pin numbers.

Note 1: PC parallel port is 25 pins D-shaped female connector in the back of the computer. Data pins are TTL level output pins which means they put out ideally 0V when they are in low logic level (0) and +5V when they are in high logic level (1).
