A confined aquifer is 50 m thick. The potentiometric surface elevations at two observation wells 1,250 m apart are 26.35 m and 27.90 meters. If the aquifer consists of 50% medium-grained sandstone and 50% medium sand: A) Estimate the aquifer porosity and hydraulic conductivity, B) determine the flow rate per unit width of the aquifer, C) determine the specific discharge, D) determine average linear velocity of the flow assuming steady unidirectional flow, and E) calculate how long would it take for a tracer to travel the distance between the observation wells.
