Question

A four-span slab is supported on 14in. wide beams with center to center spacing of the beams equal to 16',18', and 16'. as shown in the picture. The slab carries a superimposed dead load of 20 psf (excluding self weight) and a live load of 180 psf. Select the depth of slab and design both the flexural and temperature reinforcement. Use f'c=4000 psi and Grade 60 steel. Draw a cross section view showing the reinforcement.

1- Show all your work and estimate the slab thickness

2- Design the slab for : A mid span intermediate section (positive moment) , An end span intermediate section, and A negative over support section.

3- Design and draw steel reinforcement for a typical T-beam cross section , An end span intermediate section, and A negative over support section.

show the reinforcement also on the plan (do 2 plans for top layer and one for bottom layer)
