If you put those two things together, you should understand that one can also use antibodies for visualization in electron microscopy, but the antibody that recognizes the specific protein of interest has to be coupled to a gold particle rather than a fluorophore. Explain why the use of a gold particle would work, but the use of a pigment or fluorophore would not work.
