Question
A)Kirchhoff's Loop (Voltage) Rule and Junction (Current) Rule are consequences of two conservation laws. What are these laws, and which law applies to which rule? B) The electric field inside a conductor is zero under appropriate conditions. In an electrical circuit the current flows due to the potential difference (and a concomitant electric field) between opposite ends of a wire. Do these two concepts contradict one another? If so, how might we reconcile the contradiction. If not, why is there no contradiction.Explanation / Answer
a)
you found the answer: The consvervation of electric charge applies to the Junction (Current) Rule. The conservation of energy applies to the Kirchoff's Loop (Voltage) Rule.
b)
There is no contradiction, because the first concept can be apply only for static conditions. In other words in an electrical circuit the current flows, and therefore it is not a static condition.
