In spectroscopy there were important relationships between some of the hydrogen spectral lines that are explained by the Bohr model. Consider one of the following “Ritz combination rules.”f(Ka) + f(La) = f(Kß)
where f(Ka) is the frequency of the Lyman a line, f(Kß) is the Lyman ß line, and f(La) is the Balmer a line. Derive this relationship from the Bohr model.

so Ka is the transition from 2-> 1 Kb is the transition from 3->1 La is the transition from 3->2 Since 3->2->1 is the same energetically as 3->1 that means E(Ka)+E(La)=E(Kb) know we use that E=hf so f(Ka)+f(La)=f(Kb)
