A = 18 j units

B = 30 cos45 i + 30 sin45 j = 21.21 i + 21.21 j

C = 20 cos45 i + 20 cos 45 j = 14.14 i - 14.14 j

Resultant, R = 35.35 i + 25.07 j

B)

R = sqrt (35.35^2 + 25.07^2) = 43.34 units

Direction, theta = arctan (25.07/35.35) = 35.34 degree wrt x axis.
