Explanation / Answer

here,

a)

electric feild , E = 50000 N/C

distance from the charge , r1 = 0.212 m

let the magnitude of charge be q

E = K * q/r1^2

50000 = 9 * 10^9 * q /0.212^2

solving for q

q = 2.5 * 10^-7 C

the magnitude of charge is 2.5 * 10^-7 C

b)

r2 = 23.4 m

the electric feild , E2 = K * q/r2^2

E2 = 9 * 10^9 * 2.5 * 10^-7 /23.4^2 N/C

E2 = 4.1 N/C
