a. Summarize the "big picture" relevance of the topic of the review. Be specific and dont say what is in the abstract.
b.the review covers recent technological and intellectual advances in our understanding of bacterial interactions with animals. Briefly describe a key important result that they explain from primary literature and how this result has advanced our current understanding of the specific theme Be specific
Explanation / Answer
a:The article describes the role of microbes in the development of multicellularity. The recent technological breakthroughs have vindicated that microbes have led to the formation of complex life forms. That is why microbes are found within the complex life forms. The astonishing fact is that microbes respond to the changing environment of animals being it in the form of diet or genetic requirements. All sorts of different interactions that microbes have established with the animals manifests importance of their presence within the complex life forms.
b. The key important result is that their is gene homology between animals and microbes each.eg,33% of 20000 genes of human beings have their homologes in eubacteria. Besides, their are horizontal gene transfers within bacteria to meet the new requirements of their hosts like humans. The microbes of human gut actually maintain and affect the process of digestion. Not only that, the diversity in the structure and function of gut in animals is a manifestation of microbial interactions.
