Question
For the signal generators, generate three sine wave signals of 0.1V peak amplitude and zero offset.
The frequency for signal generator 1 is 830kHz.
The frequency for signal generator 2 is 1.66 MHz.
The frequency for signal generator 3 is 3.32 MHz.
For the summing amplifier, use a 741 op amp and set the gain for 10 using the input and feedback resistors.
For the filters, construct an RLC band pass and an RLC band stop (band reject) filter. Set the band center frequency to match the frequency of signal generator 2. Select components to give a narrow band for these filters.
For measurements, add spectrum analyzers and an oscilloscope as shown in diagram.
Show screen shots of Multisim circuit, and oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer displays.
List:
Spectral levels in dB for each of these frequencies before the filters (Use the cursor to achieve accurate measurements).
Spectral levels for each of these frequencies after the band pass filter
Spectral levels for each of these frequencies after the band stop filter
Spectral level reductions obtained by each of the filters (Note: you are expected to achieve 20 dB rejection of frequencies 1 and 3 with the band pass filter as compared to frequency 2 and 20 dB rejection of frequency 2 as compared with frequencies 1 and 3 with the band stop filter).
