Question
cant get the picture to work but I have a diving more which is simply supported on one end then a roller 2 m away then a force of 1500 N at the tip. I have no idea how to do the bending for a overhanging beam with only a tip force. This is the best representation of the beam without the picture funtion working a____________b__________c a is simple support b is a roller c is the tip load ab= 2m bc=3m the width is 60 cm and the force is 1500 Netwons downward. I only want to know how to find the bending momentExplanation / Answer
bending = integral (M dM/df)/(EI)
I = area moment of inertia
E = youngs modulus
M = bending moment
f = force at the point where u want to find bending
dM/df = differentiation of M w.r.to f (force)
