Yes, I agree with Friedman’s assessment that the world is flat. Technology plays an important role in this. The use of technology has increased over the past years. Technology has made it easier for family and friends to communicate. Technology has also made it easier for businesses in different countries to succeed.

There are many different search engines on the internet to look for jobs. There are different websites such as monster.com, careerbuilder.com, unemployment websites, and hotjobs.com. Being able to use a computer to search and apply for jobs gives an individual unlimited access.

Students can learn how to become competitive and learn how to not give up so easily. Students can also develop for themselves a unique, distinctive trait that would put them on top of the list. A student should be comfortable with bringing forth new ideas.

Those that make it in this world are intellectually curious and have a passion for life-long learning. Smartness does not determine work ethic, nor collaborative capacities. Being motivated by a purpose in life creates better chances for success.
