Question
I have a Adder/Subtractor circuit I'm doing in my class. The last part wants me to connect a pin from a chip to a resistor. Then connect the other end of the resistor to the anode of the LED. Finally, connect the cathode of the LED to the ground.
My question is am I suppose to ground the LED or connect the LED to the ground. The lights not coming on. And I basically have the anode pin facing the VCC and the cathode pin one pin under it. And wires grounding on the ground side.
Thanks. All help appreciated.
Explanation / Answer
Connect the pin to the resistor and other end of resistor to the anode of the LED , ground the cathode of the LED. See that the cathode of the that is grounded is also connected to the ground terminal of the Adder/Subtractor circuit. You will see that the LED will glow when the output is HIGH.
