1.) The time constant of an RC circuit is just that,RC. So we have =(47k)(2.2u)=.1034s We will choose 8 timeconstants to be sure that the capacitor is fully charged. So8 time constants would be: 8*(.1034s) = .8272s. So to capture two completecharging/discharging cycles we would wait 4*.8272s =3.31s. This amount of time should besufficient to capture enough information. 2.) One period of the output signal would be the totaltime from when the capacitor starts charging to when it is fullydischarged again.
