3(a) Type A bouncy ball has higher elasticity, because elastic material on collision regains back it's shape and size due to elasticity.

Explanation:-

When ball moves downwards, its gravitational potential energy gets converted into kinetic energy.

During collision, some part of this kinetic energy dissipates into heat and some part is used to deform the shape of ball and elastic potential energy increases.

If ball is more elastic, this elastic potential energy again gets converted into kinetic energy again and ball gets velocity in upward direction.

3(b) By using table we can check the height up to which ball rises after first collision.

More the height after first collision implies more energy remains after collision and ball is more elastic.

3(c) larger the height in scatter plot, higher the elasticity of ball.

Also during collision, less elastic body remains in contact for larger time during collision, which can be seen in scatter plot.
