Question

I am taking Physics 1 lab and have a question concerning therelationship between the position, velocity, and accelerationgraphs. In our lab we measured data from a fan cart moving down atrack. It is basically a fan attached to the top of the cart whichpropells the cart down the track. We used a motion sensor tocollect the data. The question reads, "Why is the acceleration vs time plot somuch "noisier" than the other plots?" The position and velocity graphs look realatively smooth whilethe acceleration graph looks as though there is some"interference". Explanation / Answer

Well I called my professor and as it turns out the answer is "thesoftware". He said it wasn't a fair question and that he wouldn'tgrade it. Thanks for responding, I still learned something. I was actuallythinking about what the third derivative would be earlier today andnow I know.
