a) Mass of the gas (m) = 60kg Area of cross section (A) = 0.04m2 Acceleration due to gravity (g) =9.82m/s2 The pressure inside is (p) = mg/A                                       = (60)(9.81)/0.04                                        =14715Pa                                        =0.1472bar Therefore the pressure inside the cylineder is (P) = 0.1472bar+ 0.97bar                                                                          = 1.1172bar b) If the volime is doubled then             We know that P1V1 =P2V2 now V1 =V , V2= 2V and P1 = 1.1172bar and P2=? Now substitute all the above values to get the answer
