I asked this question already a couple of days back, and someonewas kind enough to answer. At that time I thought the methodemployed would work, but when I tried to tackle this problem today,the method didn't work. Here's my question again:A wheel with a radius of 53.0 cmrolls without slipping along a horizontal floor. Attime t1,the dot P paintedon the rim of the wheel is the point of contact between the wheeland the floor, as shown in th figure below. At a latertime t2,the wheel has rolled through oneand a half revolutions.
So I'm asked tofind themagnitude of the displacement of P and the angle(relative to the floor) of the displacement ofP.
I found the magnitude to be 7.8952 cm and the angle as 32.4816, butmy answers are incorrect. If anyone wants to check out the earlierpost, here's the link /physics-answers-5-634282-cpi0.aspx. Theanswers aren't working for me, although I get how the problemshould be approached. I would really appreciate if someonecould help me out. Thank you!
