Question
For my physics class we had to drawout the equipotential lines for several electrode setups and thegraph the absolute values of the magnitude of the electric fieldagainst the change in the x direction and the abs value of theelectric potential in the x direction. The electric field produceda parabolic graph while the voltage graph produced a line with apositive slope. Could someone tell me what this says about therelationship between the two? Sorry if this is confusing. electric potential V(x) electric field Ex = -dV(x)/dx so if V(x) ~ x is a parabola, then Ex ~ x is a straightline.
