We have the lens makers formula (1/f) =(n-1)(1/R1-1/R2) here R2=0 Then focal length f = R1/(n-1)                             =(18cm)/(1.5-1)                             = 36cm As the object is placed exactly at the focal point, thereforethe image will be formed at infinity.
