Question
A charge +q1 and a second charge q2 that may be positiveor negative, and a spot labeled P all on the same straightline. The distance d between the two charges is the same asthe distance between q1 and the point P. With q2 present, themagnitude of the net electrice field P is twice what it is when q1is present alone. Suppose q1 = +0.65 C, how would I find q2. Please help me with this, I really need help divising anexpression for this solution. as per the situation given in the problem this is possible only when the two charges q1 and q2 are of oppositesign. the force due to one will be equal to the other and net forcewill be twice when we add these two forces as they are acting inthe same direction. also q1 should be equal to q2 . hence q2=+0.65 CRelated Questions
