For the first part; for the light not to change its angleinside the oil, the index of refraction of the oil mustbe equal to the index of refraction of glass. Therefore therequired index of refraction of the oil is 1.5
For the second part: the angle of refraction is90o therefore we should have from the snell' law nglasssin1 = noil sin90o or noil = 1.5*sin51o = 1.17
