Question

ECT 122 Week 2 iLab #1

Use Multisim to open the “Voltage” file located in Doc Sharing, Week 2. Run the simulation. Use the current value from the ammeter and the resistance to determine the voltage value. Once you have calculated the supply voltage, click on the battery symbol and compare your answers.

1. Voltage is 12 and resistance is 220 mho

2.voltage is 32 and resistance is 4.7 k mho

3.voltage is 300 m and resistance is 110 mho

4.voltage is 200 and resistance is 1.8 k mho

Source Calculated Simulated

V1 __________ __________

V2 __________ __________

V3 __________ __________

V4 __________ __________

Use Multisim to open the “Resistance” file located in Doc Sharing, Week 2. Run the simulation. Use the current value from the ammeter and the source voltage to determine the resistance value. Once you have calculated the resistance, click on the resistor symbol and compare your answers.

1. voltage is 260 mV and resistance is 47 mhos

2.voltage is 1.5 kV and resistance is 330 k

3.voltage is 16 v and resistance is 6.8 k

4.voltage is 12 v and resistance is 1.2 k

Resistance Calculated Simulated

R1 __________ __________

R2 __________ __________

R3 __________ __________

R4 __________ __________

Explanation / Answer

1)

In all Ammeter dispalys the 0, I think u didnt run the simulation, from the test Voltage u given I can find the current value Please check the Ammeter reading, it will match what I caluclated.

If V1=12, R=220,I1=V1/R=12/220= 0.0545

If V2=32, R=4.7k,I2=V1/R=32/(4.7*1000)=0.0068A

if V3=300m,R=110,I3=V1/R=300*10^-3/110=0.0027A

If V4=200, R=1.8k,I1=V1/R=200/(1.8*1000)=0.1111A

in second problem if you run please check the Ammeter reading. it will match what i found..from there u can calulate R=I*V, I its nothing but V

1. voltage is 260 mV and resistance is 47 mhos,I=V/R=(260*10^-3)/47= 0.0055A

2.voltage is 1.5 kV and resistance is 330 k,I=1.5*1000/(330*1000)=0.0045A

3.voltage is 16 v and resistance is 6.8 k,I=16/(6.8*1000)= 0.0024A

4.voltage is 12 v and resistance is 1.2 k,I=12/(1.2*1000)=0.01A
